Discipline

The principal and other In-charge are responsible for the discipline in the school with assistance of all the Xavier teachers. Here, in St. Xavier's, we believe in value-based common discipline necessary for the smooth running of the school. Punctuality, neatness, uniformity of dress, courtesy, consideration for others and a co-operative spirit are insisted upon. We also encourage initiative and positive expression of creative energy. The aim is that self-discipline, to be of any positive value, should become part of every student's personal equipment for life. Freedom and autonomy are the basis of discipline. The Students are left free to accept the atmosphere of the School, to learn in a free and cooperative manner. The School has no penal system for handling students who are found to be regularly uncooperative. Parents are simply asked to put them in another school which may be more suited to them. This is the LOGO of St. Xavier's School, Tangrain. The Chakra or Wheel on the Right hand corner is found in the center of India's Tricolour and stands for progress. The symbole on the left is the Logo of the Society of Jesus-Jesuits which gives the universal trait of the Jesuits being all the things to all people. The symbole in the bottom right corner is the Logo an oppened book and Diya-light which is the light of knowledge. The symbole in the bottom left corner is the Logo of a moutain which is symbolizes local demography.

St. Xavier's School is run by the Fathers of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a religious Order of the Catholic Church and founded by St. Ignatius Loyola in 1540. The Jesuits Educational objective is to produce man and women who have a deep faith in God and in their fellowmen and, imbued with this faith, to work for justice and equality. in India, keeping this in mind, the Jesuits have established many school and colleges in which young men and women belonging to every social status, community and linguistic regional language. these institutions are part of the catholic Church's efforts to share in the country's educational undertakings.
